Serving the fatherland: events and names
About the program
The manifold and sometimes dramatic history of Russia is rich in names of the people who made great contribution to strengthening the grounds of the Russian statehood, to flourishing of our country, its economy, to the growth of Russia’s power on the world arena. Frequently the centuries are setting us apart from the years of life and work of these people. The names of many of them were not noticed by public and civil memory. The restoration of the historical justice for the outstanding citizens of Russia and public figures of the past has become the uniting point and the goal of the project titled “Serving the Fatherland: events and names”. The Centre of National Glory came up with the initiative to create this project in 2005.
Our activity got serious feedback; it has become the centre of attraction for social initiatives and has been implemented in many subjects of the Russian Federation. It is getting obvious that the project of the Centre of National Glory “Serving the Fatherland: events and names” — which is focused on the names of outstanding Russian political actors who devoted their whole lives to serving their Fatherland and whose names should be restored in the historical memory of the modern Russian society — is getting popular in the society and unites many people who share the noble and selfless love for Russia, share Faith and Faithfulness to their country.
