Open international contest for children music schools of Russia and Estonia “Prinarovye”

The Annual Open Contest for children music schools "Prinarovye" is held with support from the Interregional public fund "Centre of National Glory". It is aimed at facilitation of development of the intercultural dialogue and preserving the historical memory of the heritage of the significant patron and benefactor, Baron L.Stieglitz.

The goal of the contest is to find and support gifted pupils of children music schools and art schools; propaganda of classical and modern music; preservation and following the traditions of the Russian culture of musical performance; improving of children’s performance skills, their creative growth and communication; exchange of best practices among teachers of music schools of Russia and Estonia.

The contest continued the implementation of the Charity programme in order to memorialize the name of Baron A.Stieglitz initiated by the Centre of National Glory in 2004 as part of the project "Serving the Fatherland: events and names".

Every year just before the contest held at the Children Art School in Ivangorod a traditional workshop with soloists of the State Academic Mariinsky Theatre orchestra is given for young performers from both countries. The workshop is organized with support from the Centre of National Glory.
